A review of your rooms, devices and eye protection, followed by a written audit report, risk assessment and Local Rules.
Ongoing support
Advice as things change and answers to the specific questions that come up in practice.
Core of Knowledge training
BMLA-approved online laser and IPL safety training, with a written assessment and a certificate in your own name.
TRAINING
Core of Knowledge
BMLA-approved online laser and IPL safety training for practitioners, taken at your own pace. Written and marked by a practising Laser Protection Adviser, with a written assessment and a named certificate on completion.
Takes around 3 hours, including some additional reading
Certificate in your own name, for your insurer or licensing authority

About Tom Lister
I'm a clinical scientist and Laser Protection Adviser, and I've spent most of my career working with lasers in medicine. I'm currently President of the British Medical Laser Association, I hold a PhD in skin optics and laser treatment, and I represent the UK on the international groups that write the laser and eyewear safety standards.
I have worked with lasers in medicine since 2008, including six years heading a regional skin laser service. Alongside advising clinics, I have published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and lectures on laser safety and skin optics.
I do the work myself, so the person who writes your Local Rules is the person who picks up the phone when you have a question.
